FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – George Mason freshman
Sam Jung continued his stellar season with another top 15 finish.
Jung tied for 13th at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club. In the first stroke play tournament of the season, Jung shot a 1-over 217 (74-71-72) to lead the Patriots, who finished 10th as a team at 37-over 901 (296-296-309).
Jung, from nearby Centreville, has finished in the top 15 in three tournaments this season. Freshman J.P. Miller tied for 44th at 10-over 226 (74-76-76) and junior
Jeff Wilson was one stroke back at 11-over 227 (73-73-81) in a tie for 47th.
Graduate student
Connor Messick tied for 56th at 17-over 233 (75-76-82) and freshman
William Christian finished in 70th at 28-over 244 (80-84-80).
The Patriots will head back to Florida to host the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular on March 16-17 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.
