Seattle, Wa. -- The George Mason golf team finished fourth out of 15 teams at the 12th annual Redhawk Invitational on the famed Chambers Bay Golf Course. The fourth-place finish ties its finish at last year's Redhawk Invitational, both besting its fifth-place finish in 2024.
Abelene Christian won team honors after scorching the course with a 17-under par in the final round to finish minus 13. The Patriots finished two-under-par in the 54-hole event.
Sophomore Vaughn McMeans and junior JJ Powel led the Patriots with top 10 finishes, while all four golfers scored par or better in the final round on the Par 72, 7,196 yard famed course.
Powell scored a team-best 71 today to finish four-under-par for the tournament, tying teammate McMeans for sixth place individually.
McMeans scored even par today after his six-under-par in the second round. Freshman Philip Krone and Uzair Mirza carded 72s to round out the scoring for the Patriots.
Up Next: George Mason will travel to play to West Virginia to play in the WVU Mountaineer Invitational.
