2018-19: Played 19 rounds across seven tournaments…Finished the season with a scoring average of 74.68 (third-best on the team) and with three top-20 placements (Patriot Intercollegiate, Sept. 22-23; FAU Spring Championship, Mar. 29-31; Atlantic 10 Championship, Apr. 26-28)…Posted his best three-round score at the FAU Spring Championship (Mar. 29-31) with 5-under 211 (69-71-71)…Tied for seventh in the Atlantic 10 Championship with 2-under 214 (72-70-72).

AT VIRGINIA
2017-18 (Junior): Played in one tournament... Finished 64th at Carpet Capital Collegiate in Dalton, Ga., with a three-day score of 228... Named to ACC Honor Roll all four years.

2016-17 (Sophomore): Only tournament appearance was at the Hackler Championship... Placed 73rd in rain-shortened event.

2015-16 (RS Freshman): Made collegiate debut at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate as an individual... Also played in Wolfpack Intercollegiate as an individual... Placed 10th at Manor Invitational (individuals only)... Best rounds were back-to-back 74s at Wolfpack Intercollegiate.

2014-15 (Freshman): Redshirted season.

AMATEUR: Qualified for and played two rounds of 2018 U.S. Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill in California in August 2018... Tied for second at sectional qualifier in Maryland to qualify for U.S. Amateur Championship... Ranked the No. 82 junior golfer by the AJGA when he signed with Virginia... Top ranked Virginia State Junior for the Class of 2014... One of three Juniors to make cut at 2014 VSGA State Open... Top five finish in 2014 VSGA Jr. Stroke Play and top-10 finish in 2014 VSGA Junior Match Play... Two-time Washington Post All Met selection... Selected for 2013 Mid Atlantic Jr. Invitational & Virginias/Carolinas Invitational... Only played competitive golf for four years.

PREP: Named the 2012 College Prep Golf Tour player of the year... Helped Chantilly High School to the 2013 state title, finishing fourth in the individual competition... Sixth in 2012 state championships with team placing second... Team finished second in 2011 and third in 2010... Earned all-state honors as a junior and senior... Earned all-conference and all-region honors in 2013... Also played baseball and basketball at Chantilly.

PERSONAL: Connor Matthew Messick... Born on Sept. 29, 1995... Son of Steve and Susan... Has two siblings, Michael (30) and Ryan (27)... Father, Steve, played baseball at University of Richmond and mother, Susan, played field hockey at James Madison... Graduated from Virginia in May 2018 with his bachelor's degree in sociology... Enrolled in a one-year graduate program at Mason, pursuing his master's degree in sports and recreation studies with a concentration in sport management.
