FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's golf team has been honored for its efforts in the classroom.
The Patriots received Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Academic Team honors for the 2016-17 academic year.
Mason was one of 187 men's golf teams in NCAA Divisions I, II and III and NAIA and NJCAA to receive the award. Teams must have had a team GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn All-Academic Team recognition.
Eric Edwards,
Kyle Hart,
Brock Kovach,
Davis Soderberg and
Jeff Wilson all made the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll in the spring and fall this past year for achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 each semester. In addition, Edwards and Kovach were named to the A-10 All-Academic Team for men's golf. Kovach was tabbed as one of six Mason student-athletes to the VaSID All-Academic Team last month.
