FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's soccer team hits the road one last time to close out the season.
The Patriots play Dayton at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Dayton, Ohio in the regular-season finale. Mason (5-8-2, 0-6-1 Atlantic 10) is looking for its first conference win of the season.
The teams have met three times, with the Patriots holding a 1-0-2 advantage. They last met during the 2015 season, with Dayton and Mason tying 1-1 in Fairfax.
The Flyers (8-7-2, 5-2) are currently in fourth place and have qualified for the eight-team conference tournament, which begins this weekend. Dayton, which has won three of four, is led by the scoring trio of Alvaro Navarro (seven goals, five assists), Rok Taneski (seven goals, five assists) and Thor Helgason (seven goals, one assist).
Mason will try to snap a six-game losing streak and pick up its first win since Sept. 23. The Patriots are coming off a 4-1 loss to No. 25 Massachusetts on Saturday. Senior captain
