FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University women's soccer team (1-9-4) will close out their two-game homestand this Thursday, October 13, when they host Saint Joseph's (3-5-6).
Thursday's game will also be Senior Day. Seniors
Kolbrun Eyjolfsdottir,
Kaitlyn Butcher and
Jester Hutchison will be recognized prior to the match.

The Patriots are looking to bounce back after
Sunday's 2-1 loss to Richmond. Patriot duo
Zoë Vidaurre and
Milan Pierre-Jerome connected to score Mason's lone goal on Sunday.
Zoë Vidaurre leads the team with three goals on the season, while
Milan Pierre-Jerome leads in assists with four.
Zoë's goal and stout defending
earned her this week's A-10 Rookie of the Week honors. This is the first A-10 award that Mason soccer has been awarded this season.
SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
The Hawks are currently on a seven-game unbeaten streak (2-0-5). They have won their last two games, beating Fordham 3-1 on September 29, and Loyola Chicago 1-0 on October 8. Saint Joseph's will be on the road for the first time since September 25, where the Hawks played Rhode Island to a scoreless draw in Kingston, R.I.
Saint Joseph's goalkeeper Katie Cappelletti was awarded this week's A-10 Defensive Player of the Week for her shutout win over Loyola Chicago. With that game, she recorded her fifth shutout of the season.
On the offensive side, two Hawks both lead the team with 10 points. Junior midfielder Natalie Nevins has four goals and two assists on the year, while sophomore forward Jiselle Daniels has three goals and four assists.
HISTORY WITH THE HAWKS
Mason has matched up with Saint Joseph's a total of seven times, with the first game dating back to
September 6, 2005, when the Patriots won 6-1. Saint Joseph's leads in head-to-head matchups with a 4-2-1 record.
The last time these two teams met was last season, when
the Patriots won 2-1 in Philadelphia on September 19, 2021. This will be the first time the Hawks will travel to Fairfax since
October 4, 2018.
