Atlantic 10 Release
 
FAIRFAX, Va. – Freshman defender Zoë Vidaurre was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday afternoon.
 
Vidaurre, a native of Clarksburg, Md., scored Mason's lone goal in Sunday's game against Richmond. She also played all 90 minutes of the game.
 
The Patriot defender leads the team with three goals and seven points on the season.
 
Head Coach Manya Puppione was thrilled to see her player's performance be recognized by the conference.
 
"Since the start of the season, Zoë has been an integral part of the strength of our team," said Coach Puppione. "Her leadership, ability on the field on both sides of the ball and the positive progress she has been making every day has helped this team move in the right direction."
 
The Patriots are back in action at home this Thursday, Oct. 13, as they face Saint Joseph's in Mason's Game of the Week. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
