UVA Challenge Live Results | Duke Invitational Live Results

FAIRFAX, Va. – A pair of heavily contested meets at ACC schools await for the George Mason men's and women's track and field teams.

The Patriots will send a large contingency to the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C., while a handful of multi-event athletes and pole vaulters will stay in-state to compete at the UVA Challenge in Charlottesville. Both meets will be held on Friday and Saturday.

A plethora of sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers, throwers and distance runners will compete at the Duke Invitational, which will feature participants from Duke, West Virginia, East Carolina and Atlantic 10 foe Davidson among others.

Redshirt junior John Seals highlights a small crew headed to the UVA Challenge. The meet features student-athletes from Virginia, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Maryland and Georgetown.

Seals, a 2017 Indoor Track All-American, will be competing in the decathlon, hoping to reach a qualifying mark for the NCAA East Preliminary Championships. Junior Shelby Garnand and freshmen Autumn White and Harrison Shotwell also will make the trip to compete in the pole vault.

The Patriots are coming off strong performances at the Mason Spring Invitational last Saturday. The Mason men won their lone home meet of the regular season while the women placed fourth.
