2018 Outdoor: Competed in eight meets...Tallied a top five finish seven times...Notched a first place finish in the pole vault at the 2018 Tribe Invitational...Recorded a second place finish in both the pole vault and javelin throw at the Colonial Relays...Won gold for the pole vault at Atlantic 10 Championships...Finished second in the pole vault at the ECAC Championships.

2018 Indoor: Competed in six meets...Tallied a top three finish seven times...Notched first place in the pole vault six times...Finished third in the pole vault at the Atlantic 10 Championships.

2017 Outdoor: Competed in seven meets…Posted a season-best mark of 3.94m in pole vault at the IC4A/ECAC Championships (May 12)…Finished second in the javelin throw with a personal-best mark of 41.63m at the William Walton Invitational (April 15)…First in the pole vault at the Atlantic 10 Championships (May 6-7)…Finished in the top-10 of all meets for the 2017 outdoor season.

2017 Indoor: Competed in eight meets…Finished first in the pole vault with a personal-best mark of 3.95m at the Patriot Games (Jan. 28)…First in the pole vault with a mark of 3.70m at the Father Diamond (Jan. 7)…First in the pole vault with a mark of 3.75m at the Atlantic 10 Championships (Feb. 18-19).

2016 Indoor: Competed in six meets… Placed fourth in the pole vault with a vault of 3.35m at Father Diamond (Jan 9)… Posted a personal best and placed second in the pole vault with a vault of 3.75m at the 2016 Great Dane Classic (Jan 16)… Placed fourth with a vault of 3.60m at BU Scarlet and White (Feb 6)… Qualified for the Atlantic 10 Championships… Won a bronze medal at the Atlantic 10 Championship (Feb 20-21) in the pole vault with a vault of 3.70m.

2016 Outdoor: Competed in seven meets… Finished first in the javelin throw with a toss of 38.24m at the 2016 Tribe Invitational (March 18-19)… Placed third in the pole vault with a vault of 3.45m at the 2016 Tribe Invitational… Finished first in the javelin throw with a throw of 40.48m at the Virginia Challenge (April 22-23)… Qualified for the Atlantic 10 Championships (May 7-8)… Finished fifth and set a personal best in the javelin throw at the Atlantic 10 Championships (May 7-8) with a throw of 40.74m… Qualified for the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

2015 Outdoor: Competed in six meets for the Patriots…Helped Mason to an Outdoor Atlantic 10 Title with a third place finish in the javelin with a personal record of 40.64m…Finished seventh in the javelin at the 2015 Colonial Relays…Took seventh place in pole vault at the 2015 Tribe Invitational. 

2015 Indoor: Competed in the pole vault in five meets for the Patriots finishing 10^th at the Atlantic 10 Championship…Finished third at the Father Diamond Invitational and set a personal record with a mark of 3.45m in a fifth place finish at the Virginia Tech Invitational 

Prep: Earned seven letters in track and field along with one letter in swimming and diving at Hickory High School.  Was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.  Shelby was a three-time Chesapeake Scholar-Athlete as well as graduating with a 4.0 GPA.  Earned several awards and recognitions while there including: was All-Conference seven times, All-Region six times, All-State three times.  Shelby was a two-time MVP and was the Conference Champion four times as well as being the Regional Champion in 2014.  She also was the Student Athlete of the Year and was the state runner-up twice.  Shelby was also recognized as a Scholar Athlete for All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State.  Also competed in the New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals. 

Personal:  Daughter of Tracey Taylor and Doug Garnand, has one sibling, Bryce.  Shelby is majoring in Biology.  She was also recruited by the University of Mary Washington, Salisbury, Shippensburg University, Robert Morris University, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
