DURHAM, N.C. – The George Mason track & field teams head to Duke this weekend to compete in the Duke Invitational at the Morris Williams Stadium.
The four-day meet, taking place Wednesday, April 8 through Saturday, April 11, will showcase a deep and competitive field, featuring athletes from a variety of universities as well as unattached and amateur participants. Other Atlantic 10 programs set to compete at the Duke Invitational include Davidson, George Washington, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis, and VCU.
The meet will open with the men's decathlon and women's heptathlon, with all events taking place Wednesday and Thursday. Friday's competition kicks off with the women's hammer throw at 9:30 a.m. and continues through the evening, concluding with section three of the men's 5000m at 10 p.m. Saturday's schedule begins with the women's long jump at 11 a.m. and wraps up with the men's 4x400m relay at 5 p.m.
The meet will be broadcast on Friday starting at 5 p.m., and Saturday starting at 11:30 a.m. on ACCNX. Both streams will run through the conclusion of the day's events.

LAST TIME OUT
George Mason turned in a strong performance at home hosting the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, highlighted by multiple event victories and Atlantic 10-leading marks. Abby Weening led the way with a personal-best 1.82m in the women's high jump invitational, extending her conference lead and moving into the top 10 nationally. Kellen La Roche added two wins, capturing the long jump (7.36m) and high jump (2.11m), both personal bests that rank among the top marks in the A-10. The Patriots also saw a standout showing from their relay squad, as the men's 4x100m team posted an A-10 leading time of 40.20. Additional top performances included a 1-2 finish in the women's long jump, led by Shania Staats (6.02m) and Laila Thomas (5.92m), along with several podium finishes and personal bests across events, as Mason built momentum with a deep, well-rounded team effort.
