The George Mason baseball team continues CAA play this weekend, traveling to Towson for a three-game series with the Tigers.

Towson claimed the season series last year at Spuhler Field, 2-1.

Mason stands at 11-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play this season. Winners of 10 of their last 13 contests, the Patriots currently reside in third place in the CAA. Mason has several individuals ranking at the top of the CAA statistical leaderboard, including senior infielder Brig Tison in hits (31, T-1^st), runs scored (20, T-2^nd), stolen bases (9, 3^rd), batting average (.431, 4^th), on-base percentage (.494, 4^th) and total bases (37, T-5^th). Tison is also in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak and has recorded a hit in all but one of Mason's games this season.

Also ranking among the CAA statistical leaders are senior outfielder Dan Schafferman in RBI's (20, T-1^st), home runs (3, T-3^rd), hits (25, 5^th), total bases (37, T-5^th), slugging percentage (.544, 8^th), batting average (.368, 10^th) and senior designated hitter Zack Helgeson in home runs (7, 1^st), slugging percentage (.724, 2^nd), total bases (42, 3^rd), and RBI's (18, 4^th).

The Patriots pitching corps has also been impressive, ranking third in the conference with a 3.68 team ERA. Senior Ryan Pfaeffle leads the conference with a 0.41 ERA, while redshirt sophomore Anthony Montefusco stands sixth with a 1.73 ERA and leads the conference with 29 strikeouts and only four walks. Redshirt junior Chris O'Grady ranks second in the CAA with four saves.

Towson is 6-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play after facing VCU last weekend to open the CAA season. Sophomore outfielder leads the conference with a .738 slugging percentage while also leading the team with a .429 batting average (5^th, CAA) and .519 on-base percentage (3^rd, CAA).
