High School: Earned four letters in baseball and one basketball at Shawnee High School ... named All-Conference, All-County, All-South Jersey, All-State and Burlington County Player of the Year as a freshman ... as a senior, was 13-3 with a 1.86 ERA and 130 strikeouts in 75 and one-third innings ... allowed just 33 walks and 48 hits ... hit .373 with five homers, five doubles, 20 RBI and a .614 slugging percentage ... only second player in school history to record 100 hits.
