FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to action on Wednesday, competing in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 18-21 at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.

All four days of the A-10 Swimming and Diving Championships will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The four-day competition will include a morning preliminary session and an evening final session, with the top 16 performers in each event advancing to the finals.

At the 2025 A-10 Championships, the Mason men's team finished third, while the Patriots' women's team placed fifth.

On the men's side, George Washington claimed the A-10 title for the fifth straight year (883.5), with St. Bonaventure second (517.5) and George Mason third (509). Davidson was fourth (446) followed by La Salle (358), Massachusetts (332), Fordham (250) and Saint Louis (209).

On the women's side, George Washington won the Atlantic 10 Championship for the fourth straight year (598.5), with Richmond second (571) and Duquesne third (525). Fordham finished fourth (339) followed by George Mason (324), Davidson (300.5), Massachusetts (284), La Salle (268), St. Bonaventure (241), Rhode Island (189) and Saint Louis (72).Â
Ali Tyler was named Most Outstanding Swimmer at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships. She won three individual titles, setting new Atlantic 10 records in both the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM and posting new team records (100 Freestyle, 200 IM, 100 Backstroke). She also helped the Patriots win two relay medals, with gold in the 400-yard medley relay and silver in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
Tate Anderson won the bronze medal in the 100-yard freestyle (43.27) and
Ian Rodgers placed second to capture the silver medal in the 200-yard backstroke (1:44.55).

The Patriots' men's 400-yard freestyle relay team touched the wall second to claim the silver medal with a new team record (2:55.11).

THE PATRIOTS SCHEDULE

The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in eight events during the 2025-26 season, with three at home including the annual Patriot Invitational at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

The Patriots opened the campaign at the Potomac Relay Invitational (Sept. 26), hosted by American University at the Reeves Aquatic Center in Washington, D.C. The men's team placed first and the women's team was fourth.

George Mason then hosted Old Dominion (Oct. 3) for the first home meet of the season. The Patriots' women's team won 10 of 16 events and defeated Old Dominion, 159-103. The men's team won nine of 16 events and downed the Monarchs, 152-110.

The Patriots faced Atlantic 10 Conference opponents for the first time at the Richmond Duals (Oct. 17-18) held at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va. The George Mason men's team took on Davidson in a two-day dual, while the women's team faced Davidson, Duquesne and Richmond in an invitational style event on Friday and competed in a dual against Davidson on day two.

The Patriots traveled to face William & Mary (Nov. 8) at the Bee McLeod Recreation Center in Williamsburg, Va.

George Mason hosted the annual Patriot Invitational (Nov. 19-22) at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. The Patriots' men's team was third and the women's team fifth.

The Patriots dropped their duals on the road at Towson (Dec. 19) in the final meet of 2025.
Â
The Patriots competed in two meets in January.  Both the men's and women's teams dropped their road dual at Delaware (Jan. 17) in Newark, Del. To close out the regular season, the men's team defeated Georgetown, 169.50-127-50, while the women's team dropped its dual to the Hoyas, 206.50-93.50 at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.
