FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's and men's swimming and diving teams host Towson on Saturday, Jan. 25 with the meet scheduled to begin at noon at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

Last time out, the Patriots' men's team defeated Cleveland State, 148-113 on Jan. 18 in Pittsburgh, Pa. The George Mason women's team fell to Duquesne and Cleveland State.

Tate Anderson won three individual events, claiming the 50-yard freestyle (20.49), 100-yard freestyle (44.68) and 200-yard freestyle (1:36.73). JuniorÂ

Ian Rodgers took the top spot in both the 100-yard backstroke (49.17) and 200-yard backstroke (1:47.65). In the 200-yard breaststroke, seniorÂ

THE PATRIOTS SCHEDULE

The George Mason men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete in six events during the 2024-25 campaign, with two events at home including the annual Patriot Invitational at the Aquatic and Fitness Center.

The Patriots will opened the season at the Potomac Relay Invitational (Sept. 27), hosted by American University at the Reeves Aquatic Center in Washington, D.C.

George Mason faced Atlantic 10 Conference opponents for the first time at the Richmond Duals (Oct. 11-12) held at the Hampton Aquaplex in Hampton, Va. The George Mason men's team faced Davidson in a two-day dual, while the women's competed against Richmond and Duquesne in the two-day meet.

The Patriots' men's fell to Navy (231-68), Louisiana State (239-60) and Loyola-Maryland (220-79) and the George Mason women's team lost to Navy (226-73), Louisiana State (247-52) and Loyola-Maryland (201-99) on Oct. 18 in Annapolis, Md.

George Mason hosted the annual Patriot Invitational (Nov. 21-23) at the Aquatic and Fitness Center. Both the men's and women's teams placed third in the event.

The Patriots were on the road against Duquesne and Cleveland State (Jan. 17-18) in Pittsburgh, Pa.  The Patriots men's team took the top spot in nine events and defeated the Vikings, 148-113. The women's team fell to the Dukes, 210.5-70.2 and the Vikings, 157-124.
