Jamie Greenwood enters his third season as the head coach of the Patriots and his seventh year overall with the program for 2025-26 season.
In the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships, Greenwood guided the Patriots to nine individual medals including four A-10 titles, and six relay medals. Ali Tyler was named Most Outstanding performer after claiming three individual titles (100 backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 IM) and set new Atlantic 10 records in both the 100-yard freestyle (48.62) and 200-yard IM (1:57.37). She also posted new team records in the 100 Freestyle (48.62), 200 IM (1:57.37) and 100 Backstroke (52.62), and won two relay medals.
The George Mason women's team won two relay medals, with gold in the 400-yard medley relay (3:39.28) and silver in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:19.48), and also set a program record in the 800-yard freestyle (7:17.67). Emma DeJong won the A-10 title in the 100-yard breaststroke.
On the men's side at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships, the Patriots won nine total medals with five individual and four relay. Tate Anderson claimed two silver medals and set team records in both the 200-yard freestyle and 200-yard IM, and won bronze in the 100-yard freestyle, while Ian Rodgers took silver in the 200-yard backstroke and Alex Crown bronze in the 500-yard freestyle.
The Patriots men's team set five new team records in relay events. George Mason won silver in the 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle, and bronze in the 400-yard medley relay.
As the interim head coach for the 2023-24 campaign, Greenwood led the George Mason men's team to a 4-2 dual record and the women's team to a mark of 5-4 in dual meets.
The Patriots won four individual Atlantic 10 titles at the 2024 A-10 Swimming and Diving Championships. Ali Tyler won the gold medal in the 100-yard backstroke, 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle, and Tate Anderson claimed the gold medal in the 200-yard backstroke.
During the 2021-2022 season, Greenwood helped lead the Patriots men’s team to a second-place finish and the women’s team to a fifth-place finish at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships held at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
During the 2020-21 season the Patriots competed in three team events, including the Atlantic 10 Championships, in a season limited by Covid-19. The Patriots' men's team finished second at the 2021 A-10 Championships, while the women's team finished sixth. Senior Marina Toone was named A-10 Most Outstanding Women's Diver after winning the Atlantic 10 Championship in the three-meter and a silver medal in the one-meter event. Senior Drake Moretz recorded five top-three performances during the season and was selected to the A-10 Academic All-Conference Team. Mason had 12 student-athletes selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) All-State Team. Toone was named VaSID Women's Diver of the Year, freshman Hailey Fisher was named VaSID Women's Co-Rookie Diver of the Year, and freshman Ian Castegnaro was named VaSID Men's Rookie Diver of the Year.
In 2019-20, helped guide the Patriots' men's team to the 2020 Atlantic 10 Championship, the first title in program history. The Mason men's team finished the season with a 7-2 overall record during the regular season, while the women's team finished with a mark of 2-9.
In the classroom, a total of 35 student-athletes on the Mason 2019-20 swimming and diving teams, 18 on the women's team and 17 on the men's team, earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
