FAIRFAX, Va. – After dropping a five-set heartbreaker to Grand Canyon the night before, No. 14 George Mason put together an impressive team performance to sweep the Lopes on Saturday night. The Patriots head back to Fairfax, Va., with an overall record of 13-6.

After recording a career-high 12 blocks on Friday night, redshirt sophomore
Jack Reese put together another dominant performance at the net. The middle blocker tabbed 10 blocks for back-to-back double-digit block performances. He also provided an efficient offensive performance, tabbing five kills on a .625 clip with no attacking errors.
Reese was not the only Patriot who impressed on Saturday night. Junior
Hayden Wagner stepped up with clutch, run-ending kills to halt any Grand Canyon momentum. He finished with a team-high 13 kills and added four blocks and two service aces in the victory.
Sam Greenslade and
Kyle Barnes each registered six kills in the match. The duo combined for Mason's final three points to end the match with three straight kills. Barnes and Greenslade also saw success from behind the service line, registering three and two service aces, respectively.
Senior
Will Calaman stabilized Mason's defense with eight digs while playing a pivotal role in the passing game. Mason outhit GCU .258 to .155 behind Calaman's passing and
Luis Velez's 31 assists.
