NEW YORK – The George Mason women's volleyball team entered Friday's match looking to begin the weekend trip with a victory. They were unable to do so, dropping the match to Fordham 3-0.
"Fordham was a better team than us tonight. We struggled offensively and put ourselves in tough situations throughout the match," head coach Aylene Ilkson said. "We've discussed the changes we need to make in order to battle with URI, and now our focus is on them."
While the Patriots had leads of 4-1 and 12-10 early in set one, the Rams eventually took control of the set winning 25-16. It was smooth sailing the rest of the way for Fordham as they took the next two sets 25-15 and 25-14 respectively.
