Mason begins a 13 game homestand with the series vs. Brown this weekend. The Patriots come in with a 9-6 record, most recently falling to No. 13 North Carolina, 13-3. Brown is the first of two Ivy League opponents Mason will play in 2014.

Pitching continues to stay strong with the team holding a 2.02 ERA through Monday, March 9. The mark is the 17th lowest in the country. Anthony Montefusco and Jared Gaynor both come into the weekend series with ERA's less than 1.00 and are tied for the team lead with 24 strikeouts apiece. Gaynor has pitched a quality start in each of his four starting jobs this season.

The Brown Bears began their season on March 8 with a three game series at South Carolina. The Bears lost all three by a combined score of 22-0, being shutout 13-0, 8-0 and 1-0, respectively, against the top-ranked team in the country in latest NCBWA poll.
