BALTIMORE, Md. – In split squad action, the George Mason track and field team had a strong showing at the final day of the Morgan State Legacy Meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Patriots added two ECAC times and one IC4A mark in addition to several PR's on the day.
Leading the way for the women was Dominique Graham who competed in the 400m, finishing third overall. Graham competed in heat 8 of the event, the fastest seeded heat with six of the top seven finishers coming out of it, and crossed the finish line with an ECAC and PR time of 55.09.
Also qualifying for the ECAC Championships was Aneesha Scott, who won heat 8 and finished 10th overall with a PR of 24.63.
On the men's side, Wes Sun punched his ticket to the IC4A championships after winning the pole vault with a height of 4.92m.
Additional highlights for the men included Gustavo Osorio winning flight 1 of the long jump and finishing fifth overall with a PR of 6.80m in the long jump, and Steven Mitchell winning heat 3 and placing 13th overall in the 800m in a time of 1:57.72.
The Patriots return to action next weekend, competing at the Penn Relays.
