2015 Outdoor: Competed in seven meets for the Patriots….Helped Mason to an Outdoor Atlantic 10 Title by finishing first in the pole vault with a mark of 3.80m…Set a PR in pole vault with a mark of 3.95m at the 2015 Colonial Relays in a first place finish…Finished fifth at the Larry Ellis Invitational.
2015 Indoor: Competed in pole vault in five meets for the Patriots winning the Atlantic 10 Championship…Set a personal best with a mark of 3.80m in a third place finish at the BU Scarlet and White Invitational moving her to third all-time of Mason’s All-Time pole vault list. Took first place at the Patriot Games and the Father Diamond Invitational
2014 Outdoor: Competed in the pole vault, finishing as high as second at the 2014 Tribe Invitational..Finished in the top 10 of all four meets she participated in, including a sixth place finish at the A-10 Championships to help Mason to a first palce finish and a conference title...Set an outdoor PR at the 2014 Colonial Relays (3.56m) moving her to third on Mason's top 10 list.
2014 Indoor: Competed in seven meets for the Patriots including a fourth place finish in pole vault at the A-10 championship. She finished as high as second in the pole vault at the Father Diamond Invitational. Horton set a personal record with a mark of 3.62m at the Mason Last Chance Meet moving her to third place on the Patriots' top-10 indoor list.
2013 Outdoor: Finished 12th in the pole vault with a height of 3.27m at the CAA Championships ... recorded a PR of 3.45m earlier in the season at the Mason Spring Invitational on April 13.
2013 Indoor: Competed in the pole vault during first season with the Patriots ... recorded a career-best height of 3.30m at the Mason Last Chance meet on February 24.
High School: Attended Blacksburg HS, lettering twice in track ... earned all-state honors after finishing third at the indoor state meet and sixth at the outdoor state meet ... set a personal-best in the pole vault as a senior at 10'.
Personal: Daughter of Mark and Wanda ... has one sister ... was a level 10 gymnast before starting to pole vault as a senior in high school.
