BLACKSBURG, Va. - Junior Mandissa Marshall set another school record for the George Mason track & field team while several additional PR's and top program times were recorded in the final day of the Virginia Tech Invite on Saturday.

Marshall bested her former school record in the pole vault, reaching a height of 4.05m at the meet. It also improved upon her previous ECAC qualifying mark. Senior Taylor Wheaton and sophomore Bethany Sachtleben also added their names to the Mason record books. Wheaton ran a PR and 10^th-fastest time in program history in the 400m, crossing the finish line in 55.11 to win the event. Sachtleben claimed the 5000m in a time of 16:58.39, a PR, ECAC qualifier and fifth-fastest time in program history.

Three more PR's and one ECAC qualifying mark were recorded by the women's team on Saturday, including sophomore Jasmine Robinson in the 400m (55.99, PR, ECAC), freshmen Sarah Weber in the 400m (59.07, PR), freshmen Michelle Wallerstedt in the shot put (11.66m, PR) and sophomore Heather Selheimer in the 1000m (2:54.44, ECAC).  

On the men's side, four PR's and three IC4A qualifying times highlighted the day. Junior Wil McReynolds ran a PR and IC4A qualifying time of 2:28.63 in the 1000m, and sophomore Michael Lawton had a PR and IC4A distance of 14.47m in the triple jump. In the 800m, senior Tyler Golden qualified for the IC4A championship with a time of 1:54.52, while sophomore Ryan McGreal ran a PR 1:58.63.

The Patriots return to action next Sunday, hosting the Mason Last Chance meet.
