George Mason Wrestling will travel to Buffalo for the 2026 MAC Wrestling Championships on Friday and Saturday, March 6-8 inside the Alumni Arena in Buffalo, NY, on Friday and Saturday.

Ten Patriots will look to punch their ticket to the 2026 NCAA Championships at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, on Mar. 20-22.

In its seventh season in the MAC, Mason finished the season with an 8-6 record, 4-3 in the MAC. 

George Mason has eight wrestlers included in the pre-seedings. Four wrestlers on the team earned three seeds, including two-time NCAA Qualifiers #21 DJ McGee and #25 Malachi DuVall (184). McGee looks to defend his 2025 MAC Championships, while 2024 MAC Champion DuVall hopes to notch his second.
#22 Kaden Cassidy (16-1) hopes to return to the NCAA Championship, while #27 Logan Messer, a three seed, is looking to earn his first NCAA bid. 
 
Four additional Patriots have earned pre-seeds; Ben Monn (125) is a five seed, Jack Kelly (197) is a seven seed, while two freshman Tate Hisey (#4 seed) and Anthony Lucchiani (#7 seed) round out the seeds.

Chasing History: Logan Messer and Malachi DuVall enter the MAC Championship with 97 career wins, recently passing program greats Greg Flourney (95), Eric Cushshon and Matt Voss (96) and ranking 8th all-time at GMU. To move further up the list, they need 99 wins to tie Sean Shea (7th) and 103 to tie Adrian Austin (6th).

DuVall Top 3 in NCAA D1 Falls: Malachi DuVall is ranked third in the 2026 NCAA Men's Wrestling Falls standings with 10. He is one behind leader Joe Curtis of Columbia who stays ahead of teammate Vincent Mueller for first in Division I with 11 falls in 17:52 on the season. Mueller is in second with 11 in 20:32. DuVall has 10 falls in 19:34.

2025 MAC Championship (4th)--In the championship round Monn earned a big win against #3 seed Aranda from Cleveland State. After dropping the semifinal match, Monn edged C. Vargo from Edinboro and in the third-place match lost to D. Davis (SIUE), 2-1.

2025 MAC Championship:  Cassidy earned his first trip to the NCAA Championship. The redshirt junior battled his way through wrestle-backs with four straight wins to finish third.

• Only seven matches as a senior last year due to injury

• 97 career wins ranks 8th all-time at GMU. Can move into tie for 7th with Sean Shea (99 wins) and 103 to tie Adrian Austin for 6th.
 
2025 MAC Championships: Messer won by decision over J. Worthing (Clarion) before Central Michigan's Cramer defeated the senior in the semifinals.

• Ranks 3rd in the MAC
• 2x NCAA Qualifier
• Ranks 3rd in the NCAA Fall's standings for the 2026 NCAA Men's Wrestling Awards with 10, one behind leader Joe Curtis and Vincent Mueller. Mueller is in second with 11 in 20:32. DuVall has 10 falls in 19:34.

2025 MAC Championship: DuVall punched his ticket to the NCAA Championship for the second straight season with a third-place finish at the MAC Championships, earning one of the three conference NCAA allocations. After dropping his semifinal match, DuVall recorded two falls en route to finishing in third place. The junior earned a fall against Ohio's Olszko (3:43) and Colin Fegley (4:12).
