2025-26 (Redshirt Junior – 157): Earned his third consecutive trip to the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships… Finished among the top 16 in the country for the second straight season after posting a 2-2 record at the NCAA Championships in Cleveland… Entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 18 seed at 157 pounds… Defeated Wisconsin’s Luke Mechler, 10-4, and Edinboro’s Garrett McChesney, 6-3, during his NCAA run… Placed third at the MAC Championships to secure his third straight NCAA berth… Went 3-1 at the conference tournament, including a 12-2 major decision over Buffalo’s Kaleb Burgess in the third-place match and a fall over Central Michigan’s Mason Shrader… Ranked nationally throughout the season and entered the MAC Championships ranked No. 21 in the country… Finished the regular season 6-1 against MAC opponents… Recorded his third consecutive 20-win season… Finished runner-up at the David Lehman Franklin & Marshall Open after winning five consecutive bouts to reach the championship match… Earned victories over Pittsburgh’s Vince Bouzakis, Lock Haven’s Nick Stampoulos and four additional opponents during the tournament… Named MAC Wrestler of the Week following his performance at the Lehman Open, marking the fourth conference weekly honor of his career… Won the 157-pound title at the Patriot Open with a 5-0 record, including victories over Rutgers’ Conner Harer, Princeton’s Gavin Hawk and Navy’s Charlie Evans… Earned bonus-point dual victories against NC State, Buffalo, Edinboro, Rider, Clarion, Bloomsburg and Gardner-Webb… Defeated Navy’s Jonathan Ley in sudden victory and Lock Haven’s Nick Stampoulos in sudden victory during dual competition.
2024-25 (Redshirt Sophomore – 157): Captured his first Mid-American Conference Championship at 157 pounds and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season… Finished the season with a 23-7 record… Went undefeated at the MAC Championships, defeating Cleveland State’s Douglas Terry by fall in 35 seconds, Buffalo’s Kaleb Burgess in sudden victory, SIU Edwardsville’s Eric Almarinez by decision and Central Michigan’s Johnny Lovett in the championship bout… Entered the NCAA Championships as the No. 17 seed… Advanced to the third round of the consolation bracket and finished 2-2 at the national tournament to place among the top 16 wrestlers in the country… Defeated Northern Illinois’ Landen Johnson, 3-2, before earning a 7-2 victory over No. 21 Johnny Lovett in the consolation second round… Finished one victory shy of All-America contention… Earned five technical falls and a fall during the season… Recorded dual-meet victories against American, Brown, Lock Haven, Cleveland State, Ohio, CSU Bakersfield, SIU Edwardsville, Clarion and Bloomsburg… Defeated nationally ranked Logan Rozynski of Lehigh at the Midlands Championships and also earned victories over Stanford’s Jason Mara, Michigan State’s Braden Stauffenberg and Harvard’s Jimmy Harrington… Recorded bonus-point victories in eight matches during the season.
2023-24 (Redshirt Freshman – 157): Put together a breakout season with 26 victories and earned the first NCAA Championships berth of his career… Named the 2024 MAC Freshman of the Year, becoming the sixth wrestler in George Mason program history to earn conference freshman-of-the-year honors… Finished runner-up at the MAC Championships to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championships… Went 1-2 in his NCAA Championships debut as the No. 22 seed, earning his first career NCAA tournament victory with a 4-2 decision over North Carolina’s Sonny Santiago… Nearly advanced in the championship bracket after taking Indiana’s Brayton Lee to sudden victory in his opening-round match… Named George Mason Athletics Freshman of the Year and received the program’s Dan Wotring Outstanding Wrestler Award… Placed fourth at the prestigious Midlands Championships… Entered Midlands as the No. 9 seed and recorded victories over Illinois’ Logan Swaw, Wisconsin’s Gavin Model, West Virginia’s Alex Hornfeck, Central Michigan’s Johnny Lovett, Princeton’s Rocco Camillaci and Harvard’s Jimmy Harrington… Defeated returning MAC Champion Johnny Lovett during his Midlands run… Won the 157-pound title at the Battle at The Citadel… Recorded a signature 4-2 dual-meet victory over Minnesota’s nationally ranked Michael Blockhus… Also earned dual victories against Clarion, American, Cleveland State, Virginia, Edinboro, Hofstra and Rider… Started 16 duals for the Patriots… Finished 7-2 against MAC competition… Recorded two victories by fall.
2022-23 (Redshirt – 149): Posted an 8-3 overall record while competing at 149 pounds… Went 4-2 at the Keystone Classic… Earned his first collegiate victory by fall against Sacred Heart’s Dakota Asuncion at the Keystone Classic… Finished runner-up at the ARMS Software Patriot Open after posting a 3-1 record.
PREP: Attended Bullis School… Multiple-time state champion… Finished his high school career with a 102-9 record… Trained with Powerhouse Wrestling Academy under coach Tom Kible.
PERSONAL: Son of Damon McGee Sr. and Carol McGee… Has two siblings, Imani and Daya… Relative Willie McGee played Major League Baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals and was a two-time batting champion, 1985 National League MVP and four-time All-Star… Enjoys fishing.
