RICHMOND, Va. - The George Mason women's basketball team heads to Richmond to face the Spiders on Saturday, February 7. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ and MASN 2 with tip-off set for 6 p.m ET. Tommy Buckles will be on the GoMason Digital Network starting at approximately 5:45 p.m.
This is the 70th matchup between the Patriots and the Spiders, with Richmond leading 42- 27. Last year, the Spiders won the matchup at the Robins Center with no fans in attendance due to a water main break.

The Richmond Spiders enter the 2025–26 season with an overall record of 19–4 and a 9–1 mark in Atlantic 10 play. Richmond averages 75.8 points per game while allowing 61.6 points per game. The Spiders are shooting 46.8% from the field, 37.6% from three-point range, and 78.9% from the free throw line. They average 35.7 rebounds per game with a +2.7 rebounding margin, along with 17.0 assists, 14.4 turnovers, 8.0 steals, and 2.9 blocks per contest.
Individually, Maggie Doogan leads the team with 22.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game while shooting 52.3% from the field, 43.1% from three, and 87.5% at the free throw line. Rachel Ullstrom averages 15.4 points per game and has made 72 three-pointers at a 42.4% clip. Ally Sweeney contributes 11.1 points per game and leads the team with 99 assists, while also shooting 43.3% from beyond the arc. Alicia Newell adds 7.5 points and 3.4 rebounds per game, and Sam Dewey provides 5.6 points per game with 26 made three-pointers.

Lauren Stack and Kate McCarney joined as graduate assistants, and Brandon Stewart was appointed Director of Player Personnel.
