Nigel Bowden is the Director of Basketball Operations for George Mason University Women’s Basketball, bringing a diverse background in basketball operations, logistics, and player development.
Before stepping into this role, Bowden served as a Graduate Assistant Coach and Head Manager for George Mason Men’s Basketball, where he played a pivotal role in team operations, scouting, video analysis, and equipment management. Upon joining the George Mason women's basketball team during the Patriots’ 2024-25 Atlantic 10 Championship season, Bowden also assisted with Director of Basketball Operations responsibilities, gaining valuable experience in travel coordination, scheduling, and day-to-day program logistics. He officially took over as the Director of Basketball Operations at the start of the 2025-26 season.
Additionally, he has NBA front-office experience with the Detroit Pistons, where he assisted in draft prospect logistics, transportation, itinerary planning, and statistical analysis. His work in player engagement and scouting analytics helped streamline the team’s draft preparation.
A proud native of Baltimore, Maryland, he is the son of John and Trishana Bowden and has one older brother.
