Hosack, who enters his 10th season leading the Green & Gold in 2025, built Mason into a perennial contender in the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) and a respected program on the national stage.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue coaching at George Mason!" said Hosack. "This program, alumni, and community are very special to me, and I'm thankful for the support from the university and athletic department to continue this journey together. Coaching this team is a true privilege, and I'm excited to keep building a championship team with our student-athletes and pushing George Mason Volleyball to the next level!"
Since arriving in Fairfax in 2015, Hosack has guided Mason to consistent postseason success, highlighted by the 2016 EIVA Championship, Mason's first in nearly three decades, and multiple appearances in the EIVA title match, including the 2024 championship. His leadership has produced AVCA All-Americans, EIVA major award winners, and dozens of All-EIVA honorees, while also elevating the program's academic profile with four AVCA Team Academic Awards, including back-to-back honors in 2024 and 2025.
Hosack was named the fifth head coach in Mason history on August 25, 2015, and has more than 25 years of collegiate and international coaching experience. Prior to Mason, he spent six seasons as an assistant coach at Penn State, helping the Nittany Lions to six conference titles and six NCAA Final Four appearances. He has also served extensively with USA Volleyball, including leading the U.S. Men's Junior National Team to gold at the 2016 NORCECA Championship.
With the new extension, Hosack remains firmly committed to advancing George Mason men's volleyball into its next era of competitive excellence, both on the court and in the classroom.
