George Mason Men's Volleyball Announces 2026 Season Schedule

FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason University men's volleyball has officially announced its 2026 season schedule, featuring a competitive slate of non-conference matchups and a challenging EIVA conference lineup. The Patriots will host 12 home matches inside the RAC Gym, highlighted by key contests against traditional rivals and nationally ranked opponents.

"We are excited to embark upon the 2026 season! We have continually gone out to the West Coast, but with so many teams from the Carolinas coming up to our place over the years, it was time we made a trip down south to repay some of those visits. We also have a great home match lineup and are playing some of the top teams in the country at various points in the season. This should give us a good idea of where we fall not only within the EIVA, but also nationally", said Head Coach Jay Hosack enthusiastically.

George Mason opens the season on Saturday, January 10, at home against Catawba College at 5 p.m. The Patriots then hit the road for an early test at Ohio State on Thursday, January 15, before facing perennial powerhouse Long Beach State in Columbus on Friday, January 16.

The home schedule resumes with a three-match stretch, including Merrimack (Jan. 24), Mount Olive (Jan. 30), and Ball State (Jan. 31).

February action brings back-to-back home matches against Manhattan University (Feb. 6-7) before the Patriots head to UCWV (Feb. 13-14). Mason then will continue its road swing at NJIT (Feb. 20), FDU (Feb. 21), before returning home to face NJIT (Feb. 27).

March features a balanced slate, starting with Dominican University (Mar. 1) and road contests at Queens University (Mar. 6) and Belmont Abbey (Mar. 7). The Patriots then host Barton (Mar. 13), FDU (Mar. 15), and back-to-back matchups against Sacred Heart (Mar. 20-21). Mason closes the month with a doubleheader weekend against St. Francis (Mar. 27-28).

April sets the stage for high-level conference play, as Mason welcomes Harvard (Apr. 3-4) and Princeton (Apr. 10-11) to Fairfax before closing the regular season on the road at Penn State (Apr. 17-18).

Postseason action begins with the EIVA Conference Playoffs (Apr. 22-25), followed by the NCAA Tournament (May 5-11).
