Box Score 2 FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason women's volleyball team beat the Duquesne Dukes in consecutive days on the final weekend of the season. The Patriots won Friday's game 3-0 and Saturday's game 3-2.
In Friday's match, the Patriots came out blazing. In all three sets, the Patriots and Dukes exchanged points for a few rallies, and the end Green & Gold took over. Senior
Camille Larkin was the common force in all three runs that put the Patriots ahead in each set. A block in the first set, a long service in the second set, and back-to-back kills in the third set played a huge role in giving Mason enough of a lead to win each set.

The George Mason men's volleyball team was in attendance and was sitting right in front of were the ball landed. Trusting her gut, her team, and the men's team, Coach
Megan Shifflett Bachmann challenged the call, and won. The Patriots finished the set, winning 25-22, sweeping the Dukes, 3-0.
On day two, the Patriots held their Senior Day ceremony before the game, honoring graduate student

Autumn Martinez-Robinson, the Patriots went on a five-point run. They maintained that lead and won the set 25-21.

In the fifth and final set, the two teams were neck-and-neck the entire time. 10 ties and 7 lead changes happened in the 15-point set. With the game tied at 11-11, Coach Shifflett Bachmann challenged a call a Duquesne point that would make the game 12-11, Dukes. After a long replay that ended with the referee pulling out an actual rules book to check something, the Dukes did get the point, but the momentum had shifted.
