FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason University cross country program will make a quick turnaround at the Spider Alumni Open this Saturday morning, hosted by Richmond, at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
 
The men's 6k will begin at 9:15 a.m., followed by the women's 4k at 9:50 a.m. Live results will be posted here.
 
Yesterday, Sept. 1, the Mason men and women placed second at the Battle of the Georges.
 
In last year's Spider Open, both Mason teams placed fourth.

Jack Ikenberry (9th, 15:07.3), Josh Walker (10th, 15:08.7) and James Seal (12th, 15:21.6) led the Mason men in the 5k while sophomore Farah McDaniel was the top finisher for the women in the two-mile race (21st, 11:43.6).
 
The Atlantic 10 Championship will also be hosted at this park on Saturday October 29, at 10 a.m.
 
Up next, Mason will compete in the Navy Invitational, Friday Sept. 16, hosted by the Naval Academy, in Annapolis, Md.
