FAIRFAX, Va. – Coming off a tough loss, the George Mason women's lacrosse team bounced back by sharing the wealth.
Eleven Patriots scored as senior captain
Chachi Kelehan led the way with four goals in a 19-5 rout of St. Bonaventure on Sunday at George Mason Stadium. Kelehan also dished out two assists for a six-point game and sophomore
Erin Donoghue and freshman
Deanna Balsama each recorded hat tricks with three goals apiece.
Mason (7-5, 3-1 Atlantic 10) was coming off a 24-5 loss at A-10 powerhouse Massachusetts on Friday. But the Patriots stormed out of the gate, scoring the game's first three goals and jumping out to a 6-1 lead.
St. Bonaventure (1-11, 0-4) scored two quick goals to cut the lead to 6-3 halfway through the first half. After head coach
Jessy Morgan called a timeout, though, the Patriots rattled off three straight goals to kickstart a 6-1 run to end the half. Taking a 12-4 lead into halftime, Mason never looked back and built a 10-goal lead early into the second half to trigger the running clock.
Balsama collected seven draw controls in addition to her sixth game with at least three goals. Donoghue dished out an assist and nabbed four draw controls.

Christina Romano all had assists.
Junior goalkeeper
Melissa Semkiw made three saves and allowed four goals in 34 minutes before senior
Elizabeth Benedetto came in and made five saves and allowed one goal.
The Patriots return to action against Davidson at 6 p.m. Friday in Davidson, N.C.
