George Mason University Athletics

2022: Started in all 17 games as a graduate…Finished tied with the third-most ground balls on the team with 21…Recorded four ground balls and caused two turnovers in a 14-10 win against George Washington…Tallied three draw controls against Oregon…Posted two or more ground balls in six games.

2021: Started in all 15 games as a senior…Led the team in draw controls with 34…Notched two or more draw controls in each of the last nine games…Caused seven turnovers and 12 ground balls…Posted three ground balls in a 11-10 win in a close matchup against Radford.

2020: Played in three games as a junior...Caused a turnover and picked up two ground balls in the Feb. 15 win over William & Mary...Also saw action against top-ranked Maryland and at UC Davis.

2019: Appeared in six games… Scored first goal of the season and had one ground ball and one caused turnover in Mason’s 17-6 win at Iona College on March 9… Recorded one goal, two ground balls and one draw control in 20-6 win vs. La Salle on March 24… Tallied one goal and first career assist in Patriots’ 19-5 victory vs. St. Bonaventure on March 31.

2018:  Played in six games during her freshman campaign...Tallied her first collegiate goal at Stetson on March 18.

Prep: Melissa Capri earned varsity letters for track, pole vault, and lacrosse at St. Anthony’s High School in New York… Was the senior captain for track… Was a four-year state qualifier for pole vault and broke the freshmen and sophomore record… Won fourth place in cities pole vault… Was a three-year Catholics Champion in lacrosse.
 
Personal: Daughter of Jeffery and Barbara Capri… Has two brothers, Derek and Cory… Made the honor roll her junior and senior year… Did gymnastics her whole life up to her freshman year in high school… Was a lifeguard her sophomore year and now waitresses at 2 restaurants.. Is undecided in her major.

Hobbies: Kickboxing, pole vault, skiing, and hiking
