FAIRFAX, Va. – A day after sinking the game-winning shot,
Nicole Cardaño-Hillary has been recognized for her part in two George Mason victories last week.
The George Mason sophomore was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Fordham's Bre Cavanaugh. This marks the third time this season that Cardano-Hillary has won the award.
Cardaño-Hillary averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists in a pair of wins last week.
The guard from Madrid, Spain, scored 21 points and made the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired to defeat Dayton on Sunday in a thrilling 54-51 victory. She also finished with six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Against Richmond on Thursday, she had a team-high 16 points, eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists, along with three steals, in a 69-52 victory.
The Patriots play their final home game of the regular season at 4 p.m. on Wednesday against Saint Joseph's at EagleBank Arena.
