SCOUTING VCU
The Rams (19-6, 11-1) sit atop the Atlantic 10 standings thanks to one of the toughest defenses in the country. They rank second in scoring defense in Division I, allowing just 49.4 points a game, and are tied for third in field-goal percentage defense (.326). VCU has won six in a row and is led by sophomore Tera Reed (12.7 points per game) and junior Nyra Williams (85 assists, fourth-most in the conference).
SERIES HISTORY
Mason holds a 32-30 edge in the all-time series, having won four of the last five and two straight. The Patriots defeated VCU 65-42 last February in Richmond. The 42 points were the second-fewest Mason had allowed in an Atlantic 10 game.

ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
Several Patriots are among the league's best in numerous statistical categories.
Nicole Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 20.8 points per game. In conference games, she is averaging a league-best 22.1 points. She also tops the league in steals with 53. Junior
Jacy Bolton is second in the A-10 in rebounding (8.5 rpg) and double-doubles (eight). Sophomore forward
Camarie Gatling also ranks second in the conference in shooting percentage (.558).
