Patriots to Visit Saint Louis, Dayton

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team begins a four-game road stretch with matches against Saint Louis and Dayton this weekend. The Patriots battle the Billikens at 8 p.m. ET on Friday at Chaifetz Pavilion in Saint Louis, Mo. 
 
On Sunday, the Patriots take on the Dayton Flyers at 1 p.m. at the Frericks Center in Dayton, Ohio.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots dropped to 4-15 overall and 0-7 in Atlantic 10 play after back-to-back four-set losses to Duquesne (Oct. 18) and La Salle (Oct. 19). 
 
Sophomore middle blocker Peyton Ehmke put together her best performance of the season against La Salle with a season-high 15 kills at a season-best clip of .565. She also added five blocks, two solo, in the loss.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Dayton (14-6, 7-0)
Dayton recently earned back-to-back sweeps against Fordham and Rhode Island to improve to 7-0 in Atlantic 10 play. Redshirt sophomore Jamie Peterson claimed her fifth Atlantic 10 Conference Volleyball Player of the Week award on Monday. She leads the league in kills per set (4.66) and points per set (5.48).
 
Earlier this season, the Flyers swept the Patriots on Oct. 11 in Fairfax, Va. Sophomore Siron Hardy led the Patriots with a team-high 10 kills at a .280 clip while senior Bailey Williams added six kills and ten digs.
 
The Patriots continue to look for their first-ever win against the Flyers. Dayton holds a 11-0 advantage in the series history.
 
Saint Louis (12-8, 6-1)
Saint Louis is on a six-match winning streak, including wins over Rhode Island and Fordham last weekend. The Billikens' lone conference loss came against league-leader Dayton on Sept. 27 in Saint Louis, Mo.
 
Earlier this season, the Patriots suffered a straight-set loss to the Billikens on Oct. 12 in Fairfax, Va. Ehmke hit .400 in the match with six kills and no attacking errors. Sophomore Katie Parmalee saw her first action of the season, posting four kills, three digs and one block.
 
Last year, Mason earned its first-ever win against SLU on Sept. 22, 2018 in Fairfax, Va. The Billikens lead the all-time series, 10-1.
