2016: Played in 98 sets across 26 matches as a freshman…featured in all but one of Mason’s contest during the season. Williams was one of two Patriots to score at least 200 kills (205), averaging 2.09 per set – third-most on the team...hit 0.076 while being the most frequent target of the setters with team-high 714 attempts…dished out 14 assists – fourth-most by a Patriot and second-most by a non-setter. The Royal Palm Beach, Fla. native led the team with 23 service aces (0.23 aces per set) and was second both in total digs (237) and digs per set (2.42)…Mason’s most productive solo blocker with 10; assisted for 22 other block points…finished the season with the third-best mark of 249 total points, which was also most among all freshmen. Williams had career-high 17 kills, three assists, and four aces at Davidson (Oct. 9), when the Patriots set a program record with 123 team digs…career-best 27 digs and career-tying two solo blocks versus La Salle (Oct. 29)…career-best four total blocks against Fordham (Oct. 1).

Prep: Bailey Williams arrives at Mason off an outstanding senior season at Wellington High School, during which she captained the Wolverines to the Class 8A District 9 title. Over the course of four years on the team, for which she earned four varsity letters, Williams received countless regional, national, and media recognition including First Team All-County as a senior, AVCAFlorida Region 8A-Region3 Player of the Year as a junior, and Palm Beach Post Female Player of the Week (Sept. 2014) as a sophomore. Williams played nine seasons of club volleyball for two separate clubs and already has international experience from playing at two editions of the prestigious BIP International Volleyball Tournament, which took place in Croatia, Slovenia, Spain and Portugal. She is capable of playing both as an outside hitter and a defensive specialist.

Personal: Daughter of former professional basketball player Bryan Williams and Donna Pearce and the older sister to two brothers. Williams continues the long-lasting family tradition of competing at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics. As many other Florida natives, Bailey enjoys playing beach volleyball as well as traveling and listening to music. She will major in criminology.
