FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's volleyball team suffered a four-set loss to Duquesne on Friday night. The Patriots drop to 0-6 in Atlantic 10 play and 4-14 overall while the Dukes improve to 9-10 overall and 3-3 in the A-10.
Mason will look to bounce back Saturday night against La Salle. First serve scheduled for 7 p.m. at the RAC.

Bailey Williams led the Patriots with a team-high 11 kills and a season-high 25 digs. In just her second match this season, sophomore right side
Katie Parmalee tabbed a personal-best seven kills at a team-high .208 clip. Freshman
Stephanie Der added 25 digs on defense.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Mason hit .075 in the match – its second lowest hitting percentage of the season.
- The Patriots tabbed a season-high 84 digs, including 50 from Der and Williams combined.
- Williams posted her fourth double-double of the season.
- ShaLi Niu (5), Jewel Clark (4) and Peyton Ehmke (4) helped Mason hold the advantage in blocks.
- In the first set, Mason held the lead 23-20 but Duquesne rattled off five straight points to take the frame, 25-23.
- Mason used a late set surge to cut Duquesne's lead to one, 23-22, in the second set. The Dukes held on to win the frame, 25-23.
- The Patriots earned their first set win since George Washington on Sept. 28, claiming the third stanza 25-23.
- Sophomore Siron Hardy bounced back offensively in the third set, tabbing six of her eight kills in the frame.
- Niu collected four kills with no attacking erros (.571 pct) in the final set of play.
