FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team begins a two-game homestand, hosting Davidson on Sunday with the kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
Last time out, Mason (7-4-0, 2-1-0 A-10) blanked George Washington, 2-0, on Thursday at the GW Soccer Field in Washington, D.C.
Mason freshman forward
Emma van der Vorst scored a goal for the eighth straight match, setting the program record for goals in consecutive games. Jenn Gross (1993) and Katy Robertson (1999-00) each scored goals in seven straight games.
Senior captain
Emily Littell netted her first goal of the season in the 34th minute against the Colonials, while van der Vorst and redshirt sophomore
Emily Bradshaw each picked up an assist in the game.
The Patriots have scored the first goal in each of the last six contests.
Emma van der Vorst is tied for the Atlantic 10 lead in goals (8) and ranks second in the conference in points (18).

Redshirt junior goalkeeper
Morgan Symmers (7-3-0, 1.57) is tied for second in the A-10 in wins by a goalkeeper (7). She made a season-high five saves in 60 minutes of action against George Washington on Thursday.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Louisa Moser (0-1-0, 2.35) played the final 30 minutes against the Colonials, making a season-high four saves.
The Patriots are 4-1-0 at home, with all four victories by a single goal. Mason has posted victories over Old Dominion (2-1), East Carolina (2-1), James Madison (3-2) and Dayton (2-1) at George Mason Stadium.
Last season,
Nia Elbeck scored in the 66th minute to lift the Patriots to a 1-0 win over the Wildcats at Alumni Stadium in Davidson, N.C. Mason finished with an 11-10 advantage in shots, including 5-4 in shots on goal.
Mason has a mark of 3-0-0 against Davidson. The Patriots blanked the Wildcats, 4-0, on Oct. 16, 2016 in Davidson's only visit to George Mason Stadium.

The Wildcats fell to Fordham, 4-1, on Thursday at Alumni Stadium. Davidson sophomore midfielder Sydney Simmons scored the lone goal of the game for the Wildcats.
Junior forward Cameron France and junior defender Alexis Pheng are tied for the team lead in goals (2) and points (4), while senior midfielder Perry Zollicoffer leads the club in assists (3).
Junior goalkeeper Sarah L'Hommedieu (0-7-0, 2.11) has made 37 saves in seven games played. Freshman goalkeeper Mary Grace Bunch (2-1-0, 1.31) has made 15 saves in three games played.
