FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer team plays its lone game this week on the road, facing Central Florida on Thursday with the kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. at UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Last time out, Mason (4-3-0) held the lead at the half, but fell to No. 8 Georgetown 2-1 on Sunday at George Mason Stadium.

Each of Mason's last four games and five of seven matches this season have been decided by one goal. The Patriots have posted all four of their victories by a single tally.
Emma van der Vorst has scored a goal in four straight games, tied for the third-longest streak in program history. She leads the Patriots and is tied for second in the Atlantic 10 in goals (4) and points (9).

Morgan Symmers (4-2-0, 1.71) has made 15 saves in six games played. She is tied for first in the Atlantic 10 in victories by a goalkeeper.
Mason is 5-1-1 all-time against UCF. This is the first meeting between the two teams in 27 years. The Patriots defeated the Knights, 1-0, on Oct. 10, 1991 at George Mason Stadium.
The Patriots are facing the Knights on the road for just the second time in program history. Mason's lone visit to Orlando was 35 years ago, when the Patriots blanked the Knights 2-0 on Oct. 15, 1983.
SCOUTING CENTRAL FLORIDA
Central Florida has an overall record of 2-2-1. The Knights have a record of 1-0-0 at home, 1-1-1 on the road and 0-1-0 in games played at a neutral site.
The Knights defeated Florida, 3-0, on Monday at UCF Soccer Complex in Orlando, Fla.
Junior midfielder Zandy Soree scored two goals, converting on a penalty kick in the 10th minute and finding the back of the net again in the 70th minute of play. Sophomore forward Sophie Sanders tallied the third goal of the match in the 72nd minute for the Knights.
Soree leads the Knights in goals (4) and points (9), while Sanders ranks second on the team in assists (2) and points (4).
UCF has registered both of its victories by shutout, winning at Miami, FL (2-0, Sept. 2) and against Florida (3-0, Sept. 10). The Knights played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw at Maryland (Sept. 6).
The Knights' two losses have both been against teams ranked in the top-25. UCF fell to No. 21 Texas, 2-1, in overtime (Aug. 24) and came up short at No. 4 North Carolina, 1-0 (Aug. 26).
