SCOUTING WASHINGTON
The Huskies (4-3) are coming off a 69-58 victory at crosstown rival Seattle University on Friday night. Junior guard Amber Melgoza scored 29 points and was 11-of-11 from the free-throw line. She leads Washington with 19.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. The teams have never met and this will be Mason's first trip to the Evergreen State or the Pacific Northwest. The Patriots are 0-5 all-time against current members of the Pac-12, most recently falling on the road to Colorado 76-61 last season.

LAST TIME OUT
The Patriots suffered a 73-59 loss at Howard on Wednesday in D.C. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored 18 of her team-high 20 points in the second half. Junior Jacy Bolton added 10 points. Playing Howard for the first time since 2009, the Patriots trailed most of the game but pulled within two midway through the third quarter. The Bison, however, ended the period on a 11-4 run and led by at least 10 points in the final quarter. Mason shot a season-low 31.9 percent from the field, were outrebounded (50-36) for the first time all season and scored its second-fewest points.

ATLANTIC 10 LEADERS
Several Patriots are among the league's best in numerous statistical categories. Sophomore Nicole Cardaño-Hillary leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 21.3 points per game. Sophomore forward Camarie Gatling also ranks first in the conference with a 56.5 shooting percentage. Sophomore Marika Korpinen is also first in the league in 3-point shooting percentage (.526). Junior Jacy Bolton, who has three double-doubles this season, ranks second in the A-10 with 8.6 rebounds a game.

LIFT OFF THE BENCH
The Mason reserves are averaging 23.4 points, including a season-high 38 points off the bench at UMKC on Nov. 23. The bench has scored at least 20 points in all but two games and twice dropped more than 35 points. Sophomores Camarie Gatling (8.9 ppg) and Marika Korpinen (8.3 ppg) came off the bench in each of their first five games before earning starts against UMKC and Howard. Junior forward Allie McCool is averaging 9.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in her last three games.
