FAIRFAX, Va. – Riding the momentum of its best start in the Division I era, the George Mason women's basketball team looks to snap a dubious streak against a crosstown rival.
The Patriots play Revolutionary Rival George Washington at 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Charles E. Smith Center in Washington, D.C. The game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

The Patriots (13-3, 2-0 Atlantic 10) have won three straight and seven of their last eight. They hope to continue their great start at George Washington, which has had the Patriots' number in recent years.
Mason has lost 10 straight to the Colonials dating back to the 2011-12 season. The Patriots have never defeated GW since joining A-10 play in 2013-14 and their last road win at the Smith Center was Dec. 20, 2002.
George Washington (6-8, 1-1 Atlantic 10) has won three of four, including a 61-39 decision at VCU on Wednesday. The Colonials are led by seniors Brianna Cummings (12.9 ppg) and Kelli Prange (12.6 ppg). The Colonials rank fourth in the Atlantic 10 in scoring defense (62.0 ppg). They return six letterwinners and two starters from the 2016-17 team that won 21 games, a share of the A-10 regular season-title and reached the WNIT.

Nicole Cardaño-Hillary scored 24 points, graduate student
Natalie Butler posted her 15th straight double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds and senior
