Atlantic 10 Championships Day One Results

GENEVA, Ohio – The George Mason women's and men's swimming and diving teams completed the first day of competition at the Atlantic 10 Championships at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, with men's team currently in sixth place and the women's team in eighth place.
On the women's side, day one consisted of two relay events and the one-meter diving competition.
The combination of senior
Sydney Fisher, juniors
Amy Tansill and
Dorothy Reilly and sophomore
Marla Albanese placed fifth in the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.74). In the 800-yard freestyle relay, seniors
Megan DeJong,
Erin Schulte and
Steff Maurer and junior
Rachel Williams finished in seventh place (7:29.22).
Massachusetts is in first place on the women's side after three events with 119 points, followed by Richmond (77), Fordham (74), Duquesne (74), Davidson (72), Saint Louis (56), St. Bonaventure (53), George Mason (52), Rhode Island (45), La Salle (37) and George Washington (32).
On the men's side, there were two relay events on the first day of the A-10 Championships.

Logan Eubanks combined to finish seventh in the 200-yard medley relay (1:30.36). The Patriots also placed seventh in the event at last year's Atlantic 10 Championships.
In the 800-yard freestyle relay, the team of senior
Evan Owens, junior
Steven Craig and freshmen
Attila Kiss and Eubanks posted a sixth place finish (6:48.71).
The Patriots men's team is in sixth place after the first day of competition with 50 points.Â
Saint Louis and St. Bonaventure are tied for the lead after day one with 66 points, followed by La Salle (64), Massachusetts (60), Fordham (58), George Mason (50), George Washington (40) and Davidson (22).
The Atlantic 10 Championships continue on Thursday with preliminary events scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and finals at 6:30 p.m. at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
