2014-15: Season-best time of 20.83 in the 50-yard freestyle at Atlantic 10 Championships, finishing 10th... 17th place finish at A-10's in the 100-yard backstoke with a time of 51.17... Finished 18th in the 100-yard freestyle (46.19)... Member of the 200-yard freestyle relay that set a new team record at Atlantic 10 Championships (1:20.30)...Third place finish in the 50 free at the Patriot Invitational... 50-yard backstroke time of 25.04 vs. at Richmond Duals. 200-yard free time of 1:47.45 at Patriot Invite.
2013-14: First place 50-yard freestyle in quad meet vs. Towson, Northeeatern and the College of Charleston in a time of 21.30... Also first vs. La Salle in 21.71... 11th place at A-10 championships in 50 free with a season best time of 20.81... On second place-finishing 200-yard freestyle relay team at A-10's in 1:20.50, a new school record... Member of four first place relay teams during the regular season... Two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week.
Prep: Swam for four years at Seoul Foreign School... KAIAC All-Conference... KAIAC MVP.
Personal: Son of Sachi and Bruce Begnell... Has spent most of his life overseas and did not start swimming until eighth grade, stared year-round training in ninth grade... Enjoys playing video games, reading, writing, drawing and watching youtube... Bioengineering major.
