FAIRFAX, Va. – After a November to remember, the George Mason women's basketball team looks to start off December by continuing its excellence at home.

The Patriots welcome in LIU Brooklyn at 7 p.m. on Thursday to continue a four-game homestand at EagleBank Arena. Mason (7-2) set a program record for most wins in the month of November with seven victories. The Patriots also played their most games (nine) in the month of November. Their seven wins also ties the second-most wins in any month in Mason history.

Off to their best start since the 2003-04 season, the Patriots have also been unbeatable at home. They've won their first five games at EagleBank Arena for the first time in eight years. Dating back to last season's final home game against Rhode Island, Mason has won six straight home games for its longest home winning streak since that 2009-10 team won seven straight.

The Patriots have won seven of eight and are coming off a 82-68 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 29 at EagleBank Arena. Graduate student Natalie Butler and freshman Nicole Cardano-Hillary each scored 25 points. Cardano-Hillary set a career high in points and shot a personal-best 50 percent from the field (7-of-14). She was also 8-of-10 at the free throw line, matching a career high in made free throws. She was tabbed to the Atlantic 10 Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Butler also grabbed 13 rebounds for her eighth straight double-double. She is tied for the most double-doubles in the country and ranks third in the nation in both rebounds (120) and rebounds per game (13.3). On Monday, she was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week, marking the third straight week she has earned the honor.

LIU Brooklyn (3-4) has lost three of four and is coming off a 86-49 loss to No. 22/20 Michigan on Saturday in Brooklyn. (The Patriots also lost to the Wolverines, then ranked No. 24/23 in the season opener on Nov. 10.) The Blackbirds are led by Denisha Petty-Evans, who is averaging a team-high 16.3 points. Petty-Evans, a graduate student who spent the last two years at Siena, played in 29 games at Mason during her freshman year in 2013-14.

The Patriots defeated LIU Brooklyn 64-48 in the teams' only previous meeting last November in Brooklyn.
