George Mason track and field concluded a weekend of competition at both the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton and the Michael Johnson Invite at Baylor Saturday night.

Senior Bethany Sachtleben led the way for Mason in New Jersey, finishing second in the women's 5,000m run on Friday night in a time of 16:21.90. John Seals also finished on the podium for the Patriots, taking third place in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.04m. Seals also finished in the top 10 in the 110m hurdles, coming in ninth with a time of 15.12.
Senior Talisha Watts finished seventh in the women's high jump clearing 1.65m on her first attempt on the day. Lindsay Horton and Megann Kaiser both finished in the top 10 in the women's pole vault with Horton taking fifth (3.55m) followed by Kaiser (3.45m) in eighth. Heather Selheimer finished third in Saturday's 1500m run with a time of 4:37.71.
Michael Conway set a PR and qualified for the IC4A with a time of 14:23 in the 5000m while Austin Savage did the same in the 800m with a mark of 1:51.42.

The Patriots had several top 10 finishes at Baylor's Michael Johnson Invite as well. Shavon Briscoe took third overall in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.47 and finished fifth in the 200m (24.13, PR, ECAC) followed by Jasmine Robinson in eighth (24.34, PR, ECAC).Taylor Sharpe finished eighth in the 400m with a time of 53.40 (PR, ECAC).
On the men's side, Bernard Freeman took second in the 200m dash with a time of 21.21 followed by DaQuan Smalls in fourth with a time of 21.56. Both athletes earned PR and qualified for the IC4A's. The 4x100m relay team also qualified for the IC4A as the team of Ayo Raymond, Walter Mitchell, Smalls and Freeman finished third with a time of 40.26.
