Seven Patriots found their way on to the Patriot's All-Time indoor list following day one of the Hokie Invitational. Three men and three women registering record times in the 300M dash in addition to freshman, and reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week, Sharon Dorsey who finished fourth in the women's 500M with a time of 1:13.69 putting her at ninth All-Time.
Freshman Taylor Sharpe led the way for the women in the 300M, finishing third with a mark of 38.97, fourth All-Time at Mason. Senior Jasmine Robinson came in 10th with a time of 39.91, followed by sophomore Caela Williams who came in 13th with a time of 40.04 good for sixth and seventh all-time respectively.
On the men's side, Xavier King, Bernard Freeman and DaQuan Smalls finished fifth, sixth and seventh in order in the 300m. King's time of 34.44 places him just .02 seconds behind David Vurburg for fifth All-Time while Freeman's 34.74 and Smalls' 34.82 place them at seventh and eighth.
Other notable finishes on the day, include senior Shavon Briscoe finishing fourth overall in the 60M hurdles with a mark of 8.55 with classmate Anthony Williams taking eighth in the men's 60m hurdles in a time of 8.01. Freshman Bailey Kolonich added a fifth place finish in the women's 3000M (10:18.69), Heather Selheimer took 12th in the women's 1000M (2:57.80) and Angel Coburn finished eighth in the men's 500M with a time of 1:04.97.
Several Patriots finished in the top 10 over in the field events as well Friday, with freshman Shelby Garnard taking fifth in the women's pole vault with a height of 3.45m while classmate Ashley Hinton took seventh (3.30M). Emily Muniz finished ninth in the women's weight throw with a distance of 14.17m with Haley Hale and Arianna Melton finishing 12th and 14th respectively.
The Hokie Invite continues Saturday with a full slate of events starting at 11 a.m.
