The Patriots travel to Amherst, Massachusetts this weekend for a weekend series with conference opponent UMass. The two teams have played each other once with Mason coming ahead 3-1 at home in 2009. The recap of that game can be found here. 

Mason went 2-3 last week, falling in away contests to Towson and Maryland before taking two of three games from then-first place Saint Louis in an Atlantic 10 series over the weekend. The Patriots won game one in 13 innings by the score of 2-1 and game three 9-2. The Billikens took the middle games of the series 4-3

Tyler Zombro was named the Atlantic 10 Baseball Rookie of the Week for his performance in Fiday's contest. The freshman pitched the final five innings of scoreless relief, allowing only four hits as he earned his fourth win of the season. 

The Minutemen won the final game of a three-game set with Fordham last Sunday and more recently, a Tuesday matchup with Connecticut by the score of 5-4. Dylan Begin leads the offense with 21 RBI and is also third on the team with a .272 average. Adam Picard has contrinuted a team-high three of UMass' 10 homeruns. The staff holds a 4.91 ERA in 36 games played, the second fewest in the A-10.
