PRINCETON, N.J. - George Mason senior Everett Hackett
captured the IC4A title in the 5000m run in the first day of the IC4A/ECAC
outdoor championships on Friday evening on the campus of Princeton University.
Hackett won the second section of the event and the overall
championship in a time of 14:05.22, just over one second ahead of his nearest
competitor.
Also running on Friday was Daniel Callan, who placed 27th
in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:30.14, while both John Holt and
Andrew Pitts competed in the 10000m run, finishing 18th (31:17.85)
and 22nd (31:36.85), respectively.
The Patriots continue in day two of the championships on
Saturday.
