Alex Zyryanov earned a spot in the IC4A Championships on Friday as members of the George Mason track and field teams competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton University on Friday. Other members of the track and field team will compete on Saturday at Morgan State and James Madison.

Zyryanov ran the 5000 meters in 14:32.32, topping the qualifying time by nearly four seconds. He finished 41^st in the event. Also competing at the Larry Ellis Invitational in the 1500 meters were Anthony LaMastro , Parker Boudreau , David Rushing , Andrew McGreal , Robert Reynolds, Michael Pachella , Tyler Golden , Daniel Callan and Nao Ma .

LaMastro, Boudreau, Rushing, McGreal and Reynolds competed in the 1500 meters. They finished 34^th , 40^th , 42^nd , 62^nd and 97^th , respectively. They recorded times of 3:52.42, 3:53.33, 3:53.53, 3:56.09 and 4:15.22. In the 800 meters, Golden was 31^st in 1:52.86 while Pachella was 37^th in 1:53.09. Calllan was 28^th in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 9:18.75 and Ma was 39^th in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:36.86.
