Fresh off a dramatic victory over the Villanova Wildcats on Friday, the George Mason men's basketball team faces the ultimate test as it takes on the No. 1 overall seeded Ohio State Buckeyes in the NCAA Third Round Sunday. This is the fourth meeting between Mason and the Buckeyes, OSU taking all three prior matchups ... Big Ten conference champion Ohio State earned the top overall seed in the 68-team field after just two losses all season, and the Buckeyes topped Texas-San Antonio 75-46 on Friday. The number-one ranked team in both major polls, the Buckeyes are led by All-America freshman Jared Sullinger, who averages 17 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. OSU is outscoring its opponents by 17.6 points per game, the second-highest margin in the country, and the Buckeyes rank in the top-10 nationally in eight categories ... George Mason senior guard Cam Long will play in the 132nd game of his career Sunday, eclipsing the school record of 131 set by Will Thomas three years ago in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Long will own sole possession of seventh place with his 102nd career start, and ranks in the top-five for career minutes ... A win Sunday would be Mason's 28th of the year, setting a new single-season school record which is currently held by the 2006 Final Four team (27).
