The George Mason men's basketball team looks for its sixth straight victory and a 10-0 start at home as the Patriots host Towson Thursday afternoon, the lone meeting this season between the two schools separated by 70 miles ... Towson comes to Fairfax looking for its first conference win of the year, despite playing CAA-leading VCU to an 80-76 contest two nights ago. The Tigers are winless since Dec. 29, an overtime victory at La Salle, marking an eight-game losing streak. Isaiah Philmore and Braxton Dupree pace the offense, as each player averages 14.4 points per game ... After junior Ryan Pearson earned the honor on Jan. 17, senior Cam Long became the second straight player from Mason to win the CAA Player of the Week as he picked up the award Monday. Mason is one of only two schools to hold the award in consecutive weeks this season, and it's the first time the Patriots have done so since Will Thomas won the award in back-to-back weeks in Nov. 2007.
